Step 1: Pre-Tan Prep – The Glow Starts Here

Want that perfect “just got back from Europe” finish? It all starts before your appointment.

✔ Exfoliate Like a Pro

For a few days leading up to your tan appointment, give your skin a good exfoliation to remove dead skin cells. This helps your tan go on smooth and last longer. Focus on dry spots like knees, elbows, and ankles.

✔ Ditch the Oils

On the day of your tan, skip heavy lotions, oils, deodorant, or perfumes. They can block the tanning solution and cause patchiness.

✔ Hair Removal? Do It Early

If you’re planning to shave or wax, do it at least 24 hours before your appointment. This gives your pores time to close and prevents those tiny dark dots from appearing. If you do have to shave on the day of your appointment you can run some cold water over the area afterwards to help close the pores. Rally time poor and have to do it after your tan? Shaving will remove some of the tan unfortunately but your best bet is to use a brand new razor and lather on the shaving cream!

Step 2: What to Wear for Your Spray Tan

Keep it comfy and loose. Dark, flowy clothes are best so you don’t smudge your fresh glow. And ditch the bra if you can as tight straps can leave marks. Even more of a bonus of having it done at home you can hang out sans any clothes at all!

Step 3: Aftercare – Keep That Glow Going

Did you know our tan will keep developing for 8 to 12 hours after your appointment, even if you have a booked an express tan this references to the time when you can shower, not when your tan is actually fully developed!

✔ Hold Off on the Shower

No water, no sweating, and no body products until your development time is up. Trust us, it’s worth the wait. We do have Express tan options that you can wash off in as little as 30 minutes so this definitely isn’t like what it used to be back in the day. Also dont forget for your first shower, no body wash.

✔ Hydration Is Everything

Moisturise daily with an oil free lotion. This is the secret to a smooth, even fade focusing on any dry areas like knees, elbows and hands. Drinking plenty of water and hydrating from the inside will also keep your skin plumper resulting in your tan fading more naturally.

✔ Be Gentle

When you shower, avoid scrubs and harsh soaps and pat dry instead of rubbing. The gentler you are, the longer your tan will last.
